Its bounty and its beauty are cherished, though the Sound's health was jeopardized for years while it served as a dumping ground. Local author David B. Williams explores the thousands of years of history of this regional treasure in his new book, "Homewaters." Feliks Banel toured parts of Puget Sound with Williams and discovered some little-known facts about our inland sea.
