Interim Police Chief Adrian Z. Diaz will be sworn in as the permanent Chief of the Seattle Police Department. Diaz was selected to be the next permanent chief in September by Mayor Bruce Harrell following an extensive national search process that included robust community engagement. His appointment was confirmed by the Seattle City Council earlier this month.
