Greg Spotts is sworn in as director of the Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT). Beyond filling potholes and helping buses and freight deliveries run on time, SDOT also paves streets, adjusts traffic signals, creates enjoyable public spaces, and builds a network of bike lanes and sidewalks to serve people of all ages and abilities. The department's goal is to center a transportation system that provides safe and affordable access to places and opportunities.
