Former Mayor Mike McGinn, accompanied by Georgetown community members and the Seattle Department of Transportation, officially reopens the newly rebuilt Airport Way South Viaduct. This important but aging link to Georgetown had been closed since November 2011 for reconstruction. Thanks to the City`s $34 million rehabilitation, the improved viaduct ensures safe travel over the Argo Railroad Yard for cars, freight, bicycles and pedestrians.
