Four schools within one block of each other in the Rainier Beach neighborhood are collaborating with community groups, businesses and police to prevent youth violence. Just a few months after the "Safe Passage" program began, organizers say it's already working and could serve as a model for other neighborhoods. Representatives from the Safe Passage program, Rainier Beach High School and Seattle Police Department join host Brian Callanan to discuss youth crime prevention efforts on a special edition of Our City, Our Schools - a series that offers an up-close look at Seattle Families and Education Levy-funded programs. Plus, the National Community Anti-Drug Coalition Institute outlines some core essentials for addressing juvenile crime.
