CityStream: Alzheimer’s Awareness Month: Dr. Thomas Grabowski
11/15/20226:50
November is Alzheimer’s Awareness Month, a time to show support for the more than six million Americans living with the disease. It’s also time to heighten awareness about dementia and memory loss, a subject Dr. Thomas Grabowski knows well. He’s the director of the UW Medicine Memory and Brain Wellness Center. CityStream host Tatevik Aprikyan spoke with Dr. Grabowski at The Memory Lab, a new center that offers programs for those experiencing memory loss as well as education and support for family members. Their discussion includes information on the latest treatments that may slow the progression of Alzheimer’s Disease, what to watch for when you suspect a loved one might need help, and the benefits of diagnosing the disease early.
