The Virginia V, celebrating a century of service
The Virginia V: A Century of Service

The steamship Virginia V is a national historic landmark, and what a history she's had. At one point, the steamer and dozens of vessels just like her comprised the Mosquito Fleet - a large fleet that cruised Puget Sound, transporting people and produce. But the arrival of automobiles and asphalt signaled the beginning of the end for the fleet. Now, the Virginia V is a floating venue for weddings, fundraisers, and company parties. This June the steamer turns 100 and, as producer Randy Eng shows, a major renovation is preparing her for the next century of service!
