The pandemic has left many people jobless and struggling to make ends meet. And many who never dreamed they'd need help now find themselves in line at area food banks. Over the past year, the demand for food assistance has risen 100% or more. Traditionally many food bank volunteers are seniors, but they've been forced to step aside for their own safety. At the same time, other community members are stepping up: tech workers, students, and the National Guard are helping to sort, load, and even deliver food to families in need. As Linda Byron reports, some of those seeking help might live in your neighborhood.
