When protestors took over the abandoned Beacon Hill Elementary School in 1972, they likely never imagined the impact their actions would have fifty years later. Today, El Centro de La Raza carries forward the dream of founder Roberto Maestas and has expanded Latino community services throughout the region. Enrique Cerna shows us how a place once known for providing services has become the place for Latinos to find community.
