Inside the technology behind PACCAR IMAX Theater

IMAX technology was first introduced in Japan in 1970, and the name stands for “Image Maximum.” During the ’70s and ’80s, IMAX became a staple in museums and science centers before expanding into commercial theaters in the ’90s and 2000s. Lead projectionist David Dukart gives us a look at the technology powering the massive screen at the PACCAR IMAX Theater at Pacific Science Center.
