For more than 70 years, Seattle's old Immigration & Naturalization Service (INS) building was the first stop for immigrants seeking a better life. For some, it was a portal to hope and promise. For others, entry into the imposing brick building led to detention and deportation. A new chapter began when the building transformed into a haven for artists and artisans. Many new tenants found its history fascinating, inspiring, and in some cases, the connection was very personal. Now, investors want to sell the place. But not if the current tenants have any say. Producer David Albright explains.
