Mayor Jenny A. Durkan is joined by Councilmember Teresa Mosqueda and President of the Driver's Union Peter Kuel to sign Fare Share legislation that will create a fair wage for Uber and Lyft drivers in Seattle. Last week, the Seattle City Council unanimously voted to pass the Mayor's proposed wage ordinance that establishes a new minimum compensation standard for Uber and Lyft drivers to ensure all drivers are paid at least the Seattle minimum wage plus reasonable expenses. This new standard is the result of an independent study and months of deep community outreach.
