Mayor Jenny A. Durkan signed the Families, Education, Preschool and Promise legislation Wednesday, June 27, at the Hoa Mai Vietnamese Bilingual Preschool in Seattle. Durkan's plan aims to significantly increase the number of children in preschool, make additional investments in K-12, and expand access to college for graduates of the Seattle public schools through the Seattle Promise College Tuition program. The plan will be placed on the ballot for Seattle voters' consideration in November 2018.
