Nicholas Bradford is the founder of the National Center for Restorative Justice. He joins Eric Liu to discuss the advantages of taking a restorative rather that retributive path to justice, especially among young people. Bradford says seeking retribution and punishing criminals has long been the standard in the criminal justice system. But he claims a better path to conflict resolution is through healing, by seeking out opportunities, increasing understanding and building trust.
