Mayor Ed Murray signed agreements between the Port and City of Seattle establishing a heavy haul network of streets that will allow heavier cargo containers to be transported between the Port, industrial businesses, and rail yards. Earlier this month, City Council unanimously passed legislation authorizing the City to formally enter an agreement with the Port.
