Restore our Waters: Combined Sewer Overflow Reduction

An overview of the Seattle Sewer System from 1885 to present, including the program to reduce combined sewer overflows (CSOs) in Seattle between now and 2025. Seattle Public Utilities Drainage and Wastewater Systems Management Division Director Trish Rhay provides the history of the system and the current regulations related to CSOs in a May 18, 2010 presentation to the Sounding Board, an advisory committee helping to develop the long-term plan to reduce CSOs and protect our urban waterways.
