On Saturday, June 16, 2012 bicyclists, pedestrians and neighbors in Wallingford celebrated the installation of Seattle`s first Neighborhood Greenway along N 43rd and N 44th streets between Stone Way N and Latona Avenue NE with a Kidical Mass family bike ride and ribbon cutting. The Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT) and community members worked together to find solutions for calming the streets and making it easier and safer for all travelers to use. Councilmember Sally Bagshaw, SDOT Director Peter Hahn and Seattle Neighborhoods Greenway Executive Director Cathy Tuttle assisted in the ribbon cutting.
