The state Legislature stalled on a statewide transportation package, so King County leaders have proposed a ballot measure that would give voters a chance to save Metro bus service and fund county and city roads. The April 22 ballot measure would call for a 0.1% percent sales tax increase plus a $60 yearly car tab fee. At stake, service cuts including the elimination of 74 bus routes and reduced service on 107 routes. What led to Metro`s financial crisis? And will voters support the ballot measure?
