Councilmember-elect Alex Pedersen (District 4, Northeast Seattle) takes the Oath of Office on Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2019, at the Magnuson Park Officers Club. The Council seat for District 4 - an area that covers Eastlake, Ravenna, University District, and Wallingford - fills the position vacated earlier this year when then-Councilmember Rob Johnson left his position.  On April 22, 2019, Councilmember Abel Pacheco was appointed to fill the seat until the elections had been certified.
