Mayor Bruce Harrell joined the Seattle Office of Economic Development, Grow America, and JPMorgan Chase to celebrate the opening of the first Business Community Owner Fund participating business, La Union Studio.

The Business Community Ownership Fund (BCO Fund) is the nation’s first property ownership program to preserve and strengthen small businesses that enhance the vibrancy of our communities. The BCO Fund provides small business owners with a pathway to long-term control and ownership of commercial spaces. This groundbreaking pilot program supports local small businesses by lowering tenant costs, increasing business incomes, and fostering economic stability.

La Union Studio is a full-service interior design and cultural placemaking studio and is the first BCO Fund participant to open in their new location. They specialize in the design of commercial and residential buildings with a focus on the design of cultural, retail, hospitality, food service, multi-family value additions and custom single family residential projects.

Speakers and attendees include:
Mayor Bruce Harrell, City of Seattle
Daniel Marsh, CEO Grow America
Vicki Foege, Vice President and PNW Program Officer for Global Philanthropy at JPMorgan Chase & Co.
