Mayor Murray signs ‘Grand Bargain’ legislation

Mayor Ed Murray signs the legislation adopted unanimously by the City Council that codifies the Housing Affordability and Livability Agenda advisory committee's "Grand Bargain." The measures map the pathway to 6,000 units of affordable housing over the next decade by requiring developers to pay for or build new affordable housing when constructing new commercial developments and apartment buildings.
