FACES (Filipino American Civic Employees of Seattle) hosts an event to encourage perseverance (magsikap) and cultural humility by hearing diverse stories about of one of the largest immigrant communities in Seattle. Cultural humility is the ongoing process of self-exploration and self-critique combined with a willingness to learn from others. It means entering into a relationship with a person/community with the intention of honoring their beliefs, customs, and values.
