Some are motivated by fear; others hope it will lead to a better life. "It" is U.S. citizenship. Recently, 1,026 people received free legal and citizenship assistance at a one-day workshop called "Seattle United for Immigrants and Refugees." A woman who recently became a citizen herself was among the 800 volunteers who provided help. Others are determined to do the same, including Angela from Peru who's working on a degree so she can help victims of domestic and sexual abuse. And, 32 years after he crossed the border from Mexico, Ramses says, "It's time."
