Political activist Aaron Dixon delivers the keynote addresses the Seattle Teen Summit. Dixon co-founded the Seattle Area Black Student Union (SABSU) in 1967 and established the Seattle chapter of the Black Panther Party in 1968. His memoir, 'My People Are Rising: Memoir of a Black Panther Party Captain,' was published in 2012.

The Seattle Teen Summit (STS) is an annual event with a mission to "empower, engage, and equip young leaders from diverse backgrounds across Seattle to connect to and serve their communities, develop strong leadership skills, and challenge injustice. STS brings together Seattle youth from all socioeconomic, racial, ethnic, religious, gender, nationality, sexuality, ability backgrounds in order to cultivate spaces for rich civic engagement, generative conversation, and personal and communal reflection."
