50 years ago, the Black Student Union at the University of Washington occupied President Charles Odegaard's office, demanding more equitable curricula and admissions policies at the school. Their strategic, non-violent movement initiated changes across the university and created a powerful legacy felt still today. Ralina Joseph moderates a conversation between UW alumni civil rights leaders to reflect on the impact of the occupation at the UW, and evaluate the school's progress today.
