The Hansberry Project hosts a gathering of talented black women playwrights from around the country for the Black Woman Wisdom Summit. Artists in various stages of their careers share their experiences and offer a unique perspective on the state of the field. The list of playwrights includes Regina Taylor, Dominique Morisseau, Lisa B. Thompson, Shontina Vernon, Sharon Nyree Williams, Kathya Alexander, Amontaine Aurore, C. Rosalind Bell, Alma Davenport, Lydia Diamond, and Chisa Hutchison. Organized by the Hansberry Project with Intiman Theatre and UW School of Drama, led by Valerie Curtis-Newton.
