The Seattle Fire Department honored all 55 Seattle firefighters who have died in the line of duty since 1891. The annual Seattle Fallen Firefighter Memorial took place last Friday in Occidental Park. Rich in tradition, the ceremony began with the presentation of colors by the Walter Kilgore Memorial Honor Guard, followed by a performance by the Seattle Firefighters Pipes and Drums band.

Speakers included city leaders, union representatives Lt. Kenny Stuart and Battalion Chief Dan Murray, and Seattle Fire Chief Harold D. Scoggins.
