Continuing the work laid out in his Executive Order focused on making Seattle a safer, healthier city by addressing the crisis of fentanyl and synthetic drugs, Mayor Bruce Harrell on Monday introduced a group of City and community leaders committed to taking action to address the post-Blake-fix landscape. This coalition of leaders includes members of the System Design Work Group described in the Executive Order, and will define solutions, improve system coordination, and develop implementation strategies. In collaboration with this group, Mayor Harrell will also discuss the next steps and coming efforts to reconcile the Seattle Municipal Code with state law on public consumption of illegal drugs.
