Mayor Jenny Durkan and Seattle Department of Transportation Director Sam Zimbabwe provide updates on the preliminary timeline and planned next steps for the West Seattle High-Rise Bridge Safety Project.  The West Seattle Bridge was closed on March 23 after Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT) engineers discovered new cracking developing which had grown rapidly over the previous two weeks. Since then, engineers have completed daily inspections and worked continuously to develop bridge repair options.
