Governor Inslee, Mayor Jenny A. Durkan, and King County Executive Dow Constantine join FEMA Region 10 Administrator Mike O'Hare, Brigadier General Doug Cherry, and U.S. Representative Pramila Jayapal to discuss the deployment of a field hospital at CenturyLink Field Event Center. This field hospital will include 300 soldiers from the 627th Army Hospital in Fort Carson, Colorado coming to Seattle to staff the hospital. The field hospital is expected to create at least 150 hospital beds for non-COVID-19 cases to help ease the burden on our local healthcare system.
