Coaching requires a delicate balance of discipline, instruction, and inspiration. University of Washington softball coach Heather Tarr has mastered all three. Her coaching skills have elevated the Huskies to an elite level, but players also admire her for the personal connections she creates and the kindness she displays. For Coach Tarr excellence on the field is essential, but she also works to mold a complete person by encouraging each player to be their very best, both in the classroom and in the community.
