If you're a tinkerer or a hobbyist or something more advanced, there's a place you should check out. Especially if you like to collaborate. It's called a makerspace - a place to design and craft projects, share tools, and if you're willing, teach others what you've learned. The tools are much more than a hacksaw and a power drill. The inventory includes world-class fabrication tools like laser cutters, 3D printers, and a metal CNC mill.
