The Winter Train & Village always seems to attract the most attention, where visitors return year after year to watch battery-operated trains weave through a well-manicured town, complete with landscaping and vintage buildings. There's even a small-scale version of King Street Station, where kids can play conductor and control the trains! And the Winterfest ice rink is a perennial favorite. But have you ever wondered how work crews create ice for an indoor skating rink? It's similar to the process that will be used to create the icy surface in nearby Climate Pledge Arena, the new home to the Seattle Kraken.
