Host Nancy Guppy grew up in Seattle and, with the exception of a three-year stint in Los Angeles, has lived in the city her entire life. Before creating arts programming for the Seattle Channel, Nancy spent 10 years as a writer/performer/producer on KING TV's late night comedy show, Almost Live!. Nancy enjoys morning coffee, daily walks, dinner with friends, hang time with husband Joe, and hitting the local art scene as much as she possibly can.

Art Zone comes to you from an iconic Seattle watering hole, The Eastlake Zoo. Before beer wore designer labels, the Eastlake Zoo was Seattle's only co-op tavern,  catering to a counterculture clientele.  Current owner Howard Brown shares a bit of history and charitable vision from behind the bar.  In addition, artist Mary Iverson gives us a look at her new show at G. Gibson Gallery. Curator Rock Hushka talks about the importance of Art Aids America now on exhibit at the Tacoma Art Museum. Rebecca M. Davis brings back "The Stay Up Late Show" and Danny Newcomb and the Sugarmakers mark their territory at the Zoo with two tunes from their current CD "Masterwish."
