A signature-gathering effort is underway for a housing measure that has divided Seattle’s affordable housing developer community. Supporters say I-135 is desperately needed to provide permanent public housing for low and middle-income residents, but critics argue funding mechanisms already exist and worry the measure will distract voters from next year’s housing levy renewal.
