2/22/20182:44

Lunar New Year arrives with a bang as Chinatown goes from calm to chaotic in this Year of the Dog. Where else can you witness Mayor Jenny Durkan feeding a lion? The celebration is part of an age-old ritual to bring good luck and prosperity to the New Year. But why does the lion dance? Duc Cash Vo, of the LQ Lion Dance Team, explains the symbolism and meaning behind this ancient tradition. Recorded at Wing Luke Museum's Lunar New Year Fair on February 10, 2018.
