Beyond the Badge
Beyond the Badge focuses on law enforcement issues, police procedures, and highlights specialized services, neighborhood crime patterns, and successful projects. Beyond the Badge is produced by the Seattle Police Video unit.

This edition of Beyond the Badge includes information on recent crime statistics for Seattle, an interview with Officer P.B. Nichols on the purchase of over 200 portable automatic electronic heart defibrillator for police patrol cars, an inside look at the very successful Crime Stoppers program and the final segment highlights the Seattle Team For Youth project which supports middle school and high school students.

This Seattle Police program pays tribute to our fallen heroes, responds to the recent ration of gun violence in our community, tackles the problem of organized operations in one Seattle neighborhood, reports on how we can protect seniors from financial abuse, touches on a human trafficking video, focuses on safety of people's first amendment rights, deals with false alarms, celebrates graduation of new Seattle police officers, emphasizes the dangers of drunk driving and shares a citizen's letter to thank a South Precinct officer who responded to protect them from harms way.

In this month show the "In The News" segment looks at the correlation between animal cruelty and domestic violence. In the "Neighborhood Focus" we show you the relationship between the Seattle Police School Emphasis Officers and students of the Seattle School District. In the "Up close" segment, we highlight the Seattle Police Pawn Shop Unit and how they work with Seattle area pawn shops to reduce the chance of stolen property being sold over the counter.
