Iraq in Fragments: A Conversation with Filmmaker James LONGLEY 1/5/2007
Filmmaker James LONGLEY sits down to talk about Iraq in Fragments, the documentary film that took home the most 2006 Sundance Festival Awards. The documentary is a gorgeous, impressionist look at the war-torn country through the eyes of its own citizens. Armed with an inexpensive video camera, Northwest native James LONGLEY spent more than two years filming in Iraq. LONGLEY played the role of producer, director, cinematographer and editor, receiving top Sundance documentary prizes for cinematography, directing and editing. Local film critic Robert Horton talks to the multitalented filmmaker about the film Newsweek calls "a quiet revelation."
