City Inside/Out looks at state climate action agenda
City Inside/Out: Climate Bills
4/5/201929:05

State lawmakers are making an aggressive push to combat climate change in Olympia this session. Which bills in their clean energy package will survive? Supporters of clean fuel say carbon emissions from cars and trucks are the biggest polluter, and they want the state to adopt a new low-carbon fuel standard like Oregon, California and British Columbia. Opponents are worried about rising costs at the pump and say the proposal isn't the best way to reduce emissions. Another major bill will require a 100 percent carbon-free electrical grid by 2045. How will this year's climate action agenda impact consumers and businesses?
