2026 Primary Election Seattle-King County Video Voters' Guide

Welcome to the Seattle Video Voters Guide, your chance to hear directly from the candidates on the August 4 Primary ballot. All candidates were invited to record a statement. Each statement is up to two minutes long and unedited. This Video Voters' Guide includes statements from candidates running for King County Assessor, King County Council Positions 2 and 8; plus, Seattle City Council District 5, Seattle Municipal Court Judge, Position 5, as well as statements on Seattle Proposition 1.

This is an all-mail election. Instead of going to a polling place, ballots will be sent to all registered voters. You may return your ballot by mail or return it to one of the ballot drop box locations around King County by August 4. You can track your ballot and sign up for ballot alerts online. You can also request a replacement ballot if needed. Those who are not yet registered can register online or by mail up to eight days before the election, or register and vote in person at a King County Elections Vote Center.

King County residents can locate their congressional, legislative, county council, and city council voting districts using the "Find My Districts" tool on the King County Elections website.
