Host Nancy Guppy grew up in Seattle and, with the exception of a three-year stint in Los Angeles, has lived in the city her entire life. Before creating arts programming for the Seattle Channel, Nancy spent 10 years as a writer/performer/producer on KING TV's late night comedy show, Almost Live!. Nancy enjoys morning coffee, daily walks, dinner with friends, hang time with husband Joe, and hitting the local art scene as much as she possibly can.
We head to Experience Music Project, where Deep Sea Diver, featuring lead guitarist/vocalist Jessica Dobson, performs two songs from their new EP, Always Waiting. Around the corner, Solo Bar welcomes us for a conversation with actor-producer Julie Briskman, and another female powerhouse Astra Elane talks about the lift off of her new band The Gods Themselves, which releases its debut CD tomorrow (Sept. 30). Plus we toss in a poster pin-up guy with the calendar and hip-hop artist Dave B, winner of EMP`s 2013 Sound Off! competition, plugs this year`s upcoming showcase of local talent.
