Tim Burgess looks back at his public service career
Council Conversations with Tim Burgess
11/15/201713:56

Tim Burgess has worn many hats over the years: journalist, Seattle police officer, consultant, business owner, City Council member, Council president and finally mayor of Seattle. Now, after a decade on the Council, and two months as mayor, he's set to retire. Over the years, he's earned the reputation as a leader who brings people together.  His pro-business stance and his strong belief in the value of early childhood education are among the hallmarks of his career at City Hall. He looks back and looks ahead with host Josephine Cheng from the Southwest Early Learning Bilingual Preschool in West Seattle.
