ONYX Fine Arts Collective, a group of artists and supporters who celebrate and promote the talent of visual artists of African descent, evolved from an effort to give these Pacific Northwest artists greater visibility and platforms to showcase their work. Community Stories first met this group in 2008 when it was known as Northwest African American Fine Arts (NAAFA).  With a new gallery space opening in downtown Seattle, ONYX Fine Arts continues to set the stage for artists and encourage community and engagement through the beauty and power of art.
