Has mounting homelessness and massive growth brought Seattle to its boiling point? The controversy over Seattle's new head tax has sparked a debate over how to spend the dollars and ignited an effort to overturn the business tax with a referendum. Marilyn Strickland, Seattle Chamber of Commerce CEO, and Seattle City Councilmember M. Lorena González join host Joni Balter to discuss who should pay for the cost of growth and how to channel the surge in civic discontent.

As Seattle begins its search for a new transportation director, we'll talk the future of mobility in our region with Deputy Mayor Shefali Ranganathan, King County Metro's General Manager Rob Gannon and "Bus Chick" Carla Saulter. With the Move Seattle levy facing funding shortfalls, where will the city scale back? Will cost overruns kill the streetcar? Is Seattle prepared to navigate the "period of maximum constraint" on traffic?
