Despite being born and raised in the Emerald city, Cameron Wong found the broadcasting industry a true adventure after graduating from the University of Washington. Leaving Seattle for places like, St. Joseph, Missouri, Phoenix, AZ, and San Antonio, Texas not only helped him see the country, but introduced him to some very interesting people. And while he’s done most of his work on the sports desk, and on the side-lines, Cameron discovered that people are what make good stories. You can still see Cameron from time to time on KIRO evening news filling in as a sports anchor, but there’s a part of him that always enjoys spending a little extra time featuring people and their stories. That’s what his wife and 2 kids tell him at least.
