The Naked Proof (2003) Film Synopsis:
Henry is a confused and struggling philosophy PhD student who has put off completing his dissertation for one too many years. Unsatisfied with academia and his life in general, he encounters a mysterious and straight talking pregnant woman named Miriam, who may or may not be a figment of his imagination. Miriam proceeds to turn Henry’s life inside out, causing him to question his career, his sanity, and nothing less than the meaning of life.
The Naked Proof premiered at the 2003 Seattle International Film Festival and went on to win a special jury prize for New American Filmmaking. Starring Michael Chick and Arlette del Toro as Henry and Miriam, the film also features cameos from singer Sean Nelson, The Stranger writer Charles Mudede, and the late playwright August Wilson in his only film appearance.
